Day 1. Leadership and Management
A three-hour session focusing on: -
1. Leadership and Management
This session will allow individuals to explore the differences between Leadership and Management concepts whilst focusing on elements such as change management, innovation and ways in which to build effective teams. An understanding that values of trust and honesty between employees is important to develop mutual relationships. Along with this, a placement of how all the above can have an impact on the commercial awareness of the organisation and how this can improve market presence and how resilience in leadership plays an important part in achieving this.
A three-hour session focusing on: -
2. Understanding Team Dynamics & Communication
Using Insights discovery to gauge how we can sometimes work with and against each other, looking at differences in people and the power this gives us when creating a team. This along with the Tuckman’s 5 step model will allow us to explore how teams develop and with this can look at the structure behind active communication and how our approaches should change to gauge understanding quickly and efficiently.
Day 2. Leadership and Management
A three-hour session focusing on: -
1. Building Resilience and Managing Conflict
The session will help individuals understand how to recognize and deal with disputes in a rational, balanced, and effective way using effective communication, problem solving and negotiation skills. We will do this by understanding how to: -
Deal with Difficult People and situations by identifying and responding to others' needs:
o Reflecting to insights discovery, understand different personalities which form, needs, values and opinions.
o Identifying how the needs, values and opinions of others can create differences and conflict.
o Developing effective responses, resources, and support strategies.
· Building team resilience in the workplace and how this will impact business resilience: -
o Recognising the impact of stress and challenges within a team and the impacts this can have on the business.
o Understanding the importance of personal resilience when helping yourself and others, but also how this impacts team dynamics and workplace/business culture.
o Activity for delegates to develop strategies for managing stress and building team resilience.
A two-hour session focusing on: -
2. Time & Organisation incorporating Delegation
Designed to help people to prioritize and control their own personal goals or workload in an organized way. It will enable individual attendees to answer that question 'What is Time Management?' and look at the way in which they organize their work, run effective meetings whilst making suggestions on ways to improve with practical examples.
We will also explore letting go and delegating tasks to others. This can be one of the hardest managerial responsibilities to overcome. The temptation to ‘do it yourself’ can become overwhelming, so we will look at ways of ensuring that delegation is structured and approached in a timely way.
