RESTORE MINI 2
The RESTORE2 Mini tool is designed for use by support workers and personal assistants, whether they are paid or unpaid. This tool helps in recognising early signs of deterioration in individuals under their care.
Who Should Attend:
• paid or unpaid carer, a care worker, a personal assistant or support worker from the Suffolk area only, who work with Learning Disability and Autism
Training Highlights:
• Understanding ‘Soft Signs’ of Deterioration: Learn to identify subtle changes in a person’s condition that may indicate they are becoming unwell.
• Defining ‘Deterioration’: Gain a clear understanding of what deterioration means and why it’s crucial to recognise it early.
• Benefits of Deterioration Tools: Discover how using these tools can improve outcomes for those you support.
• Recognising When Someone is Unwell: Learn the key indicators that someone may need medical attention.
• Ensuring the Best Outcomes: Understand the factors that contribute to positive health outcomes.
• Annual Health Checks: Learn the importance of regular health checks and how they can help in early detection of issues.
• Spotting Signs of Cancer: Get trained on identifying early signs of cancer and the steps to take if you notice them.
• Handling Medical Emergencies: Know what to do in case of a medical emergency to ensure the best possible care.
This training is essential for personal assistants and support workers to provide timely and effective care, ensuring the well-being of those they support.
Outcomes
Increased awareness of the RESTORE2 MINI resources which they can use in the workplace
Confidence and knowledge of being able to find out if the person they are supporting is feeling unwell
Better understanding of the importance SBARD and communicating when someone is unwell.
