Sponsor Spotlight: Suffolk Care Association

Part of the Suffolk Care Awards 2025 Sponsors Spotlight Series

We’re delighted to shine the spotlight on Suffolk Care Association (SCA), proud sponsors of not one, but two awards at this year’s Suffolk Care Awards – the End of Life Award and the Innovation & Sustainability Award.

1. Tell us a bit about your organisation.

Suffolk Care Association (SCA) is an independent, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting social care providers across Suffolk and North East Essex.

In partnership with Adult Community Services at Suffolk County Council, SCA plays a key role in the Joint Suffolk Care Partnership (JSCP). This collaborative forum provides a unified platform to address care-related issues affecting residents across Suffolk.

We facilitate access to a wide range of training and professional development opportunities—designed to enhance the skills of your workforce and strengthen your organisation, regulatory changes, and emerging business opportunities within the social care sector.

2. Why did you choose to sponsor the Suffolk Care Awards 2025?

End of Life Care - Dignified end of life care that supports the wishes of the individual to live their life, their way, in a place of their choosing, with people around them that understand them and respect their final wishes has always been held very close to our hearts, so much so Sandie works at the Ipswich Hospital and Hospice in the Cancer wellbeing centre as a Complementary therapist

Innovation & Sustainability – This year we are proud to be sponsoring this award for the first time. This year has seen so many challenges – so thinking outside the box to ensure our businesses are innovative and adopt practices that make them sustainable for the future.

3. What do you enjoy most about being involved with the Care Awards?

The opportunity to shine a light on Suffolk Social care. Highlight Best Practice and celebrate Social Care Suffolk.

4. Why do you think it’s important for others to get involved in the Suffolk Care Awards?

The awards enable us to highlight all the fabulous hard work and commitment those working in Social care do every day and hopefully attract more people to know of all the opportunities of working in social care.

Just for fun:

5. If you or the team were to win an award for something completely unrelated to work, what would it be and why?

"Most Enthusiastic Foodies". Whether it's organising themed lunch days, sharing recipes, or scouting out the best local spots for coffee and pastries, food somehow always brings us together. It's more than just eating—it’s about connection, creativity, and enjoying each other's company, which naturally strengthens our team dynamic.

We’re incredibly grateful to Suffolk Care Association for helping us celebrate the people and teams who deliver dignified, person-centred end-of-life care and those driving innovation and sustainability across our sector.
