Based in East Anglia, Training for Health offers training delivered by highly experienced, qualified and current health care professionals. We specialise in First Aid at Work, Mental Health at Work, Moving and Assisting (of people and objects) and a wide range of health and social care courses. We come to your preferred venue and our services includes risk and needs assessments and consultation.

  • Qualsafe – accredited First Aid – either for first time learners or as refreshers

All day or half-day courses, depending on a risk assessment

Adult and Paediatric

 

  • BLS shorter courses – bespoke for health and social care settings. For first time learners or as refresher
  • Mental Health First Aid – bespoke for organisational need
  • The Deteriorating patient/client/resident

Covers assessments, signs and symptoms, NEWS

*includes Sepsis and Septic Shock

 

  • Learning Disabilities Awareness (Oliver McGowan)

 

  • Dementia Awareness – can include other neurological degenerative conditions

 

  • Safeguarding of Children and Adults

 

  • Vital sign assessments - with practical (vital signs assessments, recording, calculating NEWS and reporting/escalation

Anatomy and Physiology, assessments, documentation and reporting

 

  • Medicine management – with practical

 

  • Fundamentals of Person – Centred Care and Privacy and Dignity

Includes the professional role, scope of practice and fundamentals of effective communication

 

  • Infection Prevention and Control – with hand hygiene practical

Fundamental principles and includes awareness of Covid/Mpox/any other epidemic risks

 

  • Ear Irrigation - with practical

Principles and practice

 

  • Wound Care

 

  • Nutrition and Hydration for Vulnerable Adults

Can include care of PEG in longer course

  • Diabetes Awareness and Management – with practical

 

  • Personal Care  - all day

Includes: effective communication, privacy and dignity, meeting hygiene needs, nutrition and hydration, continence care, skin care and prevention of pressure ulcers

 

  • Catheterisation and Catheter Care – with practical
