Insight2 Mental Health LTD announced as category sponsors for newly launched Health and Wellbeing Award at Suffolk Care Awards 2023

An Ipswich based mental health training and therapy business, Insight2 Mental Health Ltd, has been named as the official category sponsors for the Health and Wellbeing Awards at the prestigious Suffolk Care Awards 2023.

Organised by Care Development East, this year’s awards ceremony marks an exciting milestone with the introduction of the new category, dedicated to recognising excellence in health and wellbeing services within the care sector.

The Suffolk Care Awards celebrate the outstanding contributions and achievements of care providers and professionals in Suffolk, acknowledging their exceptional commitment to providing high-quality care and support to vulnerable individuals across the county. The Health and Wellbeing Awards category emphasises the significance of mental health and overall wellbeing in the care industry.

Ipswich based Insight2 Mental Health Ltd, is a provider of mental health and wellbeing training and therapy support for businesses and is honoured to be part of this significant initiative, as their services and training programmes enable businesses to take a proactive and preventative approach to mental health issues in the workplace. Their sponsorship highlights their unwavering dedication to promoting mental health awareness and ensuring that health and wellbeing remains a key focus within the care sector and beyond.

The new award has been realised to recognise the prominence and growing issue of mental health concerns in the sector, and according to the Care Quality Commission, mental health organisations Mind and Rethink Mental Illness reported an increase in demand for their services. For example, in the 12 months since the first national lockdown was announced, Rethink reported a 175% increase in demand for advice and information on their website.

As the category sponsor for the Health and Wellbeing Awards, Insight2 Mental Health will play a crucial role in assessing and recognising the outstanding efforts of care providers and professionals who have shown exceptional dedication to enhancing the mental health and overall wellbeing of their staff and patients.

“We are thrilled to be the sponsors for the Health and Wellbeing Awards category at the Suffolk Care Awards 2023,” said Jo Wood, founder at Insight2 Mental Health Ltd. “Having worked in the health and social care sector for over 25 years, I have supported many colleagues who have experienced difficulties with their mental health due to the nature of their work. This was particularly heightened during the pandemic, with an increasing number of staff needing additional support for feelings of anxiety, trauma and mental fatigue.

Ensuring all staff within the care industry receive the support they need and deserve for their health and wellbeing is vital, as colleagues in this sector are at a higher risk of developing burnout and mental health issues compared to workers in other fields. We are committed to supporting care providers in their efforts to prioritise this important issue, and see this award category as a significant step towards acknowledging the crucial role mental health plays in delivering exceptional care services.”

Care Development East, the organisation behind the Suffolk Care Awards, have launched several new categories that reflect the current state of the industry, notably the Equality and Diversion award and the addition of the Health and Wellbeing Awards category. “We are delighted to introduce the Health and Wellbeing Awards category for 2023, recognising the importance of mental health and overall wellbeing in the care sector,” said Christian Bone, CEO at Care Development East. “We are grateful to Insight2 Mental Health for their support and sponsorship, which will help shine a spotlight on the exceptional work being done in this area.”

The Suffolk Care Awards 2023 will take place on Thursday 21 September at The Hangar at Milsoms, Kesgrave, bringing together care providers, professionals, and stakeholders from across the county to celebrate excellence in the care industry. The Health and Wellbeing Awards, sponsored by Insight 2 Mental Health, promises to be a highlight of the event, acknowledging those who go above and beyond to ensure the mental health and overall wellbeing of care service users.
